Who we are
Co-founders: John and Jett van der Wallen
Meet Jett - Athlete, Biomedical Engineer, and Entrepreneur.
Jett is a national finalist in beach sprinting from South Maroubra Surf Life Saving Club and holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Sydney.
Like many athletes, Jett struggled with recurring hamstring injuries. Frustrated by the lack of tools to truly understand muscle fatigue and injury risk, he set out to build something better—a device that could transform how athletes monitor their muscle health.
Introducing BioSensr – We quantify muscle performance.
Born from Jett’s PhD research, BioSensr is a wearable sensor that uses cutting-edge electromyography (EMG) to measure how muscles perform over time, with the potential to identify fatigue and help prevent injury before it happens.
When they’re not building BioSensr, Jett and co-founder John are Surf Lifesavers on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. 🏄♂️
Our mission
Quantify muscle performance across an athlete’s journey - training, competition & recovery
